Samsung Knox Mobile Enrollment has been your go-to solution for enrolling devices quickly and efficiently—allowing IT admins to set up everything from EMM configurations to skipping unnecessary setup screens. But we didn’t stop there...

We’re thrilled to announce a major user experience revamp in Knox Mobile Enrollment, focusing on the profile creation process. Launching by the end of October, this upgrade is designed to make your enrollment process smoother, faster, and more intuitive than ever before.

Let’s find out more!

What’s changing in Knox Mobile Enrollment?

For years, Knox Mobile Enrollment has provided IT admins with a fast and easy way to set up device configurations, manage settings, and ensure security across their organizations.

At the core of it lies the profile creation process. Here, IT admins can configure EMM settings, network setups, and advanced security measures such as locking compromised devices.

However, as technology and organizational needs have evolved, we’ve recognized that the user experience could be even more efficient. That’s why we’re making the most significant update to Knox Mobile Enrollment's profile creation process since its launch.

So, what does this update mean for you? The new design aims to eliminate friction IT admins have faced, such as navigating and comprehending long lists of settings. The result? A more intuitive, streamlined process that minimizes setup time and maximizes productivity.

This isn’t just a visual overhaul; it’s a comprehensive redesign meant to make Knox Mobile Enrollment more intuitive than ever. The page is now cleaner, more organized, and equipped with smarter workflows—making profile creation faster and more logical.

It's perfect for IT admins new to Knox Mobile Enrollment and profiles with complex configurations!

How is the profile creation process changing exactly?

At Samsung, our commitment has always been to provide IT admins with tools that are both powerful and easy to use. This latest revamp of the profile creation process embodies that philosophy—delivering new features that simplify your workflow and make managing devices easier than ever.

Let’s dive into the major updates.

Anchor functionality for faster navigation:

In response to users needing quicker access to commonly used settings, we’ve re-ordered the layout1 to put the most frequently used features front and center. Now, you can jump straight to the setting you need, thanks to the new anchor functionality (or “jump-to sections”).

Instead of scrolling through long pages to find what you’re looking for, simply click the feature name in the menu, and it will take you directly to that section.

This is especially helpful for IT admins managing multiple profiles or dealing with complex configurations.

Progress stepper and Review page:

One of the most exciting additions to the profile creation process is the new progress stepper. Similar to what’s found across other Knox services, the progress stepper guides you step-by-step (as the name suggests) through the profile creation process. Each stage is clearly marked, and you can revisit any step at any time.

In addition, the newly introduced Review page is a game-changer for admins who want to double-check their settings before deploying devices. Once you’ve configured your profile, the review step gives you a full summary of everything you’ve set up—ensuring that no detail is overlooked.

Need to tweak something? No problem. The Review page lets you make quick edits without starting over, saving you time and ensuring accuracy.

Advanced settings toggle—now with more flexibility:

In the past, IT admins had to choose between Standard and Advanced profile types. However, we have eliminated this distinction and introduced a simple advanced settings toggle instead. This makes it easier for IT admins to manage their profiles without having to make a commitment to a specific type.

This means whether you need to lock compromised devices or enable other enrollment security features, you can activate these settings with a simple toggle switch.

This allows for greater flexibility in customizing profiles without the complexity of choosing between profile types. It’s all right there—giving you more control without the clutter.
