Secusmart, a BlackBerry® subsidiary, has been supplying governments with secure and BSI-approved mobility solutions for over a decade. Customers include civilian, law enforcement, and military agencies.
For its latest solution, SecuSUITE for Samsung Knox, Secusmart has partnered with Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., to provide agencies with an ultra-mobile and highly secure communications solution. It allows government employees to exchange classified information with their coworkers via an end-to-end crystal-clear encrypted phone call, instant messages, or enterprise grade email, using the SecuCONNECT VPN link into the governments’ own secure data centers. Additional mission critical workflows and resources are accessible via hardened mobile apps and the secure SecuFOX web browser.
In addition to the use of mission centric hardened mobile apps, SecuSUITE for Samsung Knox also optionally allows the use of personal apps, which users can download from the Google Play Store. Such apps increase the attractiveness of the solution to the end user, while keeping sensitive data strictly separate from the personal space.
As working from home, or any other location, becomes the new normal, Samsung Dex, in combination with leading virtual desktop infrastructure products, turns a SecuSUITE for Samsung Knox device into the most flexible, pocket-sized mobile workstation for classified data.
SecuSUITE for Samsung Knox also provides integration with market leading Mobile Device Management solutions such as BlackBerry UEM. It utilizes Samsung’s value-added services, such as Knox Mobile Enrollment, Knox Configure, and E-FOTA, to enable rollout and management of classified mobile devices at scale.
SecuSUITE for Samsung Knox builds upon the security foundation provided by Samsung Galaxy devices and supplies additional cryptographic capabilities, enabling the solutions’ security classification. Those capabilities are integrated with the SecuSUITE for Samsung Knox’s Secure Policy Layer (SPL), which hardens mobile apps installed on the secure platform. The security capabilities are tied to a dedicated hardware root of trust, the Secusmart Security Card.
Coupled with Samsung Dex and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Samsung devices with SecuSUITE for Samsung Knox turn into complete mobile workstations that support sensitive data, in the office or remotely.
SecuSUITE for Samsung Knox also ties in with Samsung key services such as Knox Mobile Enrollment, Knox Configure, E-FOTA, and Knox Enterprise APIs to set the Samsung devices up into a BSI-approved configuration at scale.
